2010 Kennebec County
Ag Map is in the Making!

In a collaborative partnership, the Kennebec County Soil & Water Conservation District (KCSWCD) has teamed up with Time & Tide again in 2010 to produce the 2010 Kennebec County Food, Farms & Fairs map.

KCSWCD has produced the map free of charge in past years in an effort to promote local farms and ag producers and is once again offering to do the same for the upcoming year.

The deadline for submitting your ad for the 2010 map is April 23rd, 2010.  We are now accepting information to be included on the 2010 version.

If you are an ag producer in Kennebec County and would like to be included on the map for 2010, please contact the Time & Tide office at 622-7847, ext 4 and talk to Carl.

Maine Carbon Credit Program

The Maine Carbon Credit Program focuses on outreach, education and the establishment of a soils carbon baseline to prepare for a voluntary carbon credit marketing program in Maine.

Phase 2 is currently being implemented to develop a soils carbon baseline and increase landowner knowledge about carbon issues in Kennebec and Aroostook Counties. The goal is to provide landowners who use conservation practices that increase carbon storage in soils the opportunity to participate in a voluntary market for carbon credits once a the market has been created here in Maine.
